Samuel Anderson Architects designed two additions to the original structure. The first consists of three levels, which include a garage, a living room, and painting/print making studio. This addition is connected to the existing by a concise volume that contains the stairs and library. The second addition is a master bedroom, with a pottery studio below. The multiplicity of volumes breaks up the scale. The structure is unified by a deck that runs along its north side, overlooking the stunning valley view below.
